Sorry that I havent been in touch for a while, the last few months have been filled with ups and downs, sadly a few more downs than ups.
As well as his PTSD Dad has suffered two strokes so his memory is terrible so are his moods. One minute he is really nice the next minute he hates everyone around him. I think that it is frustration because he cannot get his words out and do the things that he used to be able to do but it also hurts us.
We all say things that we dont mean trying to hurt people and me and mum are as bad but sometimes I dont know how such nasty hurtful things can be said. I have had lots of changes too in my life which are all good. I cannot say what they are but I have met a great bunch of people and life is good. Those people know who they are and I would like to say thank you.
I am learning to play polo, yes I know the combination of me and a large hammer type object is quite scary but I can hit the ball (well sometimes). I had better not tell mum though as she will say I have no excuse for not using a hammer in future.
Even started baking again. Yep life is good.
Dad is doing really really well at the minute still love him to pieces and always will. He may not be my biological father, or even family but he will always be my daddy and I will always be proud of him
NHS keen to adopt the cards and sheets so guess I need to keep pushing and every veteran will be able to have access
Sweet dreams all
